What to Expect
For five days ahead of Autumn Equinox 2025, we'll walk and talk through each aspect of witchcraft as I know and practice it.
Working with both the theoretical and the practical, the ritual and the invitational, this work will both offer you a deeper sense of rootedness into the craft and invite you to lay the foundations for your own personal approach to witchcraft in a way that is safe, grounded and supported.
These sessions will take place each day from Monday 15th to Friday 19th September inclusive, with video replays and any follow-up invitations shared with you within 24 hours of each call. Sessions will last 90 minutes each and will be held at midday UK time.
Day 1: The Bones
We start at the beginning, with the bone-deep knowing that, no matter how we practice, witchcraft is a lineage that roots us into the Earth and a deep belonging.
Today we will reclaim that word "witch" - taking it from a place of persecution to power, and ask what our own witch-lines may look and feel like.
Meanwhile we'll talk about tools, from the cauldrons and wands we've become so familiar with to the body and Earth that was all our ancestors needed to make magic, let's get familiar with the tools of our craft.
Day 2: Breath and the Elements
What we now call witchcraft was once as easy and natural to us as breathing, and its power continues to live in every moment of our lives and our world.
On this, our second day together, we will consider the way the whole world can be a magical ally for the witch that sees all things as sacred!
Journeying with the elemental building blocks of Air, Fire, Water, Earth and Ether and considering the power of ritual in all of its forms, we will look to understand what "magic" and "ritual" really mean for the witch.
Day 3: Attraction, Banishment and Power
Desire is the current that fuels all of this work, and on this third day together we'll look at exactly what that means and how it takes shape for us.
Considering the dualities of attraction and banishment, we will look at the true meaning of a witch's power, and consider the ways our intentions and actions can shape our reality.
We will also talk about the cyclical nature of life as a witch, including the ongoing dance of the stars and the wheel of the year that represents our own planet's natural cycles, all of which can be used to support our lives and practice.
Day 4: Spells, Voice and Protection
Oh gods this is my favourite bit!!
All words are creation, and in today's session we will look at language as magic and at the way the witch's voice is spell, shield and story all in one.
On our fourth day together we will also cover the vital topic of protection through both the casting of circles and spells and the importance of alignment in what we speak and believe.
Witchcraft is about crafting our reality, and this is where we come to understand what that means. That means today's session will also cover the topic of sovereignty, journeying with the ways freewill, boundaries and personal power are such crucial aspects of witchcraft.
Day 5: Death, Change and Resurrection
Every witch is a threshold walker, one who recognises endings for the initiations that they are in the continual journey of a cyclical life.
In our final day together we will talk about death and endings as not only the natural parts of life that they are, but as fertile ground for all that is to begin again.
We will close our time together with a journey into the void, recognising it as womb rather than absence and allowing ourselves to move through this process of initiation in order to emerge re-witched, in the fullness of the witches we are.
Your Guide for this journey
I'm Ceryn, and I've been a formally practicing witch for over two decades, but in reality my journey with witchcraft has lasted much, much longer.
You see, I was raised to know that the Earth was sacred and to below in the power of my words and actions. And amidst a lifetime of walking with Spirit I have always known that we have more power than so much of the modern world would have us believe.
I first started teaching witchcraft formally in 2012, and over the years, have written at length on the subject for a number of national and global publications while my book, The Divine Feminist, utilises the practices and principles of witchcraft to affect change in our lives and world.
